Themes & Customization

• Open Themes and click one of the 36 built-in themes to switch to it
• Browse themes opens the theme library on this site
• Create makes your own theme: give it a name and write its colours as DaisyUI CSS variables. Custom themes can be edited or deleted later

Turn on Enable logo customization in the Logo section. A preview shows the logo both normal and muted.

• Border Color, Text Color and Shadow Color: pick a theme colour or enter your own
• Background (Normal) and Background (Muted): a colour, or an image with Use image. The muted one shows while sound is off
• Dimmed logo when muted fades the logo while sound is off
• Reset returns the logo to the theme's colours

Turn on Enable background customization in the Background section, then choose a colour or, with Use image, an image file or URL. Reset returns to the theme's background.

Open a theme in the theme library. Its page shows the theme as the app draws it, with its colours and what it contains.

• Install in Mechvibes opens the theme in the app (Mechvibes 3.3 or later on Windows or Linux), which asks which parts of it to use
• On a Mac, or with an older version, choose Download file, then click Import in Themes, choose the file and press Use this theme
• Save keeps the theme under Saved for later

Publish your theme in the library, then share its link. Everyone who opens the link sees your theme and can install it in one click.

1. In Themes, click Share, name the theme and press Save file. The .mvtheme file holds the colours, your logo style and images, and your background
2. On this site, open Share your theme, sign in and choose the file. The page shows what the file holds before anything is sent
3. Check the name, add a short description and press Publish theme

4. When it is live, choose Copy link and post the short link, such as mechvibes.com/t/ and a seven-character code. On Discord it unfurls into a card with your theme's picture, name and colours

The link is always on the theme's page, under Share this theme. Pasting the link or its code into the search on the themes page opens the theme too.

You can still send the .mvtheme file to a friend instead: they click Import in Themes, choose it and press Use this theme. Manage the themes you published from your profile.
